Caliber 52 Sub for Desert Rock Resort
In hospitality projects, light plays a decisive role in the quality of the experience. It is not only about visibility, but about how materials, surfaces and volumes are perceived within the space.
Caliber 52 Sub was selected by the designers to illuminate the pools of Desert Rock Resort, in Saudi Arabia, a project where architecture and natural landscape engage in a setting of strong material presence. When light interacts with water, its role becomes particularly sensitive: reflections, depth and chromatic variations influence the perception of volumes and contribute to the construction of atmosphere.
Together with Caliber 80 Sub and Felix 40 Sub, Caliber 52 Sub is part of unonovesette’s submersible lighting proposal: a family of luminaires conceived for underwater applications, where reliability, efficiency and long-lasting performance are essential requirements. The five available colour temperatures — 2200K, 2450K, 2700K, 3000K and 4000K — allow the relationship between light, water, surfaces and depth to be precisely calibrated.
At Desert Rock Resort, Caliber 52 Sub integrates into the project with a discreet and high-performing presence, contributing to the relationship between architecture, water and landscape.
