The Vario 60, selected by Studio 30 Grad to illuminate the majestic facade of the renovated Franz Josefs Kai 39 building in Vienna.
The historic building located in Vienna’s 1st district has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment, with a particular emphasis on the architectural integrity of volumes and details. Designed by Eduard Kaiser and built between 1858 and 1860, this edifice embodies the urban metamorphosis of Vienna, facilitated by the construction of the Ring, which gave rise to an iconic urban scheme and architectural typologies that have indelibly shaped the city’s character, reinforcing its status as one of Europe’s most esteemed capitals. The lighting designers at Studio 30 Grad have developed a refined lighting project that accentuates and delineates the details of the building’s grand façade, fostering an atmosphere of elegance and refined sophistication.
